ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Rachel Printy lives in Denver, Colorado where she enjoys hiking, creative writing, playing volleyball, reading both fiction and nonfiction, and catching local comedy shows.
Prior to this she lived in New York City for eight years and had the opportunity to read her work during the New York City Poetry Festival and at various venues including the Nuyorican Poets Café and Bowery Poetry Club.
Her main focus, however, has been on writing short stories. She is also working on a historical fiction novel.
Rachel has been published in Reed Literary Magazine, Every Day Fiction, Youth Imagination, and Chicken Soup for the Soul and recently CommonLit commissioned her to write a short story that will be taught in high school classrooms across the country.
Her pieces, “Polepole” and “Canon in D with a Side of Tomato Soup” have won Royal Palm Literary Awards, and the latter has been optioned for a film.
